‘Runners tasted the 2023 Nouveau

After a brief stop in Champagne ‘group driving’ was the order of the day, along a co-ordinated route. This took the cars in Burgundy and then deep into Beaujolais where in the afternoon they joined Yannick and Sandrine De Vermont, the ‘Runs winemakers. With special dispensation granted the ‘Runners tasted the 2023 Nouveau. A year of small yield but peppery, jammy, spicy and full of promise as their bottles were classified as ‘Villages’ quality and could be kept to turn into fine drinking wine months later. After a quick wash and brush up it was off to the Mayor’s Dinner and a night of entertainment, revelry, and fireworks.
