2013 'Beaujolais Black'

2013 saw a treat for loyal 'Runners as a select number were personally invited to take part in 'Beaujolais Black.' Asked to dine with limited numbers in a special location and in great company; the 'Run could not say no! As a result, the dinner invitation has become ongoing and forms a new highlight of the 2014 event for all.

The dinner they guested at included, 'Folies Bergere' style entertainment and they joined the vignerons of Beaujolais and formed part of the celebratory torchlit procession to launch the new vintage.

The navigation trial included a champagne tasting in the vineyards which navigators certainly enjoyed!

Other fun included a night hill climb at the Royal Automobile Club , Woodcote Park; a multi coursed, multi champagne dinner where the Kings of France stayed before their crowning. Teams experienced a great route with amazing views of Burgundy and Champagne.

On return for their prize giving dinner Champagne Taittinger had rolled out the red carpet. An intimate dinner, highlighting the whole of their range, lovingly matched to each course awaited. And competitors were delighted when patron John Surtees OBE entered the room to present prizes as they thought they had wished him farewell in Blighty.
